Soteria Productions firmly believes in helping our local community. That’s why today, we are featuring a project we recently completed for one of our favorite non-profits in Atlanta. This non-profit is “hands-on” changing the future of Atlanta’s next generation. The name of this organization is oaksATL.
oaksATL is an afterschool program in English Avenue that also teaches life discipleship. Some of the Soteria team members have been frequently volunteering at oaksATL. That’s when our attention was brought to a need that we could fulfill. oaksATL wanted to raise more awareness about what they are doing for the children of English Avenue, so that are able to sustain and grow the organization to help more children in the area.
So we made a video! We sat down with a few of the staff members of oaksATL to hear what they have accomplished and where they hope to take this organization in the future.
Our Director/Director of Photography for the shoot, Shane Ortiz, followed the staff, volunteers, and students in a “day-in-the-life” style. We encountered the patience, generosity, and grace that the people of oaksATL put forth every school-day of the year.
We’ve quickly received the impression that everyone must be captivated by the people and story of oaksATL shown through our cinematography. Because the video has already won 2 AWARDS from the Telly Awards!
We hope you’ll check out the inspiring, award winning video below. And if you are interested in getting involved with oaksATL and helping the children of English Avenue become “Oaks of Righteousness,” please visit http://www.atlnavs.com/urban/.
